War witnesses

Synopsis:

This documentary makes an attempt to delve into the more human side of press reporters, into their critical capacity to distinguish information from manipulation, necessary deaths, preventative attacks and other concepts that until now were unknown. Through direct testimonies from veteran reporters, such as Mercedes Gallego, Jon Sistiaga and Joseba Iriondo, among others, who experienced, first-hand, the latest wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, a detailed analysis of the evolution of armed conflict, how television is used, and the danger of losing the right to access true information is carried out. At the same time the documentary tries to delve deeper into the different life experiences of each reporter and the way they faced each conflict, how they dealt with the information that they received from both sides and the personal drive they have that allows them to return to these places of hate and destruction.
